Soil

Most of the soil on the estate is chalky, with a franc-calcareous structure. Due to the marine origins of the area, fossils are not at all uncommon, and many can be found in the soil of the higher vineyards. These fossils are unmistakable traces of past eras when this area had been the sea bed, and that´s why our Wines have mineral and saline notes, that identify our region.
The soil of our Pyrenees vineyards are granitic and not very deep. The humidity is well preserved and the organic matter concentration is adequate.
