The sanitary and maturation levels of the grape have been optimal although the production scarce.

2017 will be remembered as an outstanding year. The sanitary conditions of the grape have been excellent and the maturation has been optimal, both phenolic and alcoholic. Thus, we have harvested at the right time, giving rise to wines that stand out for their balance and freshness. The frost that affected us in La Cerdanya (1,200m) deserves to separate chapter, and also the dry summer with an extreme heat wave. All of the above has led to a short harvest in production and days, and also the most advanced we remember.

The agricultural year began with a rainy autumn , 220L of water between October and December, which came very well to the plants to prepare and carry out an adequate winter hibernation. We did not start pruning until the arrival of the cold in mid-January. In summary, the winter was cold and rainy.

Malvasia de Sitges was the first variety of grapes to sprout on March 8, muscat and xarel.lo on March 14, and red grapes Garnacha, Syrah and Cabernet around April 5. In the Garraf spring was quite dry with 77L / m2 of precipitation and the heat arrived at the beginning of June. In the Cerdanya, the pinot noir sprouted in mid-May and the riesling on April 15 and was affected by the historic frost of April 27.

The summer was very hot and dry, only 28L of H2O, and the vines suffered a 3-day desert heat wave in early August. The above conditions produced a drop in yield of between 20% to 25% and an extraordinarily early harvest beginning and ending 10 days before the average. The muscat started on August 7 and ended on September 12 with the xarel.lo and the garnacha. The harvest in Cerdanya was on October 15, a very rare harvest due to the frost, hail and the action of animals such as the wasp and the kid. On the other hand, we obtained high quality grapes, which will result in wines of great personality.
